General Ledger Accountant

RATE OF PAY:

$67,500

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Prepare journal entries (e.g. cash, inventory, fixed assets, prepayments, debt, equity, payroll, expense accruals, etc.)

- Examine and reconcile account balances and resolve discrepancies for financial reporting

- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycle in compliance with corporate close guidelines and U.S. GAAP

- Compile and deliver financial report packages (e.g. balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement, etc.)

- Prepare tax filings for various state and regulatory agencies

- Assist external auditors with quarterly, and yearly audit reviews

- Conduct the development and documentation of corporate processes and accounting laws in internal controls.

- Provide inventory cost information to the Sales Department for products pricing.

- Prepare, analyze, and develop cost accounting data

- Compile cost information for the monthly, quarterly, and yearly operating budget and financial budget.

REQUIREMENTS:

Requires bachelor’s in accounting or related field and 12 months of work experience in accounting or related occupations.

Proficient knowledge may be obtained through education or experience.

Accounting rules (US GAAP), accounting cycle, financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement), general ledger system (double-entry accounting, accounts & bank reconciliation, month end close process, and adjusting journal entry), internal control framework, budgeting and forecasting, Job Cost System and Process System, financial analysis, and inventory cost-flow assumptions.
